Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your ideal clients?

Individuals and couples ready to invest in deep, intentional growth—those seeking clarity, empowerment, and authentic connection. I specialize in working with Black and Muslim clients navigating identity, self-exploration, and emotional experiences.

What can I expect in a session?

Expect guided, purposeful work that goes beyond conversation. Sessions focus on uncovering the roots of struggle, exploring emotions, and giving you tangible strategies and tools for meaningful change. The depth of the work depends on the commitment you bring—I vow to show up fully, and I ask that you are willing to go deep, explore your roots, and engage fully so we can find grounding and create aligned, meaningful change.

How do I schedule a session?

You can schedule directly online or contact me via email (info@rouamft.com). Sessions are intentional, private, and structured for clients ready to invest in their care and growth.

How does couples therapy differ from Prepare/Enrich?

Couples therapy is ongoing, longer-term work for partners navigating challenges, conflict patterns, or relational tension. Sessions focus on communication, connection, and addressing recurring issues over time.

Prepare/Enrich, by contrast, is a structured 8-session program that includes a comprehensive couples assessment. The assessment provides visuals of your strengths and growth areas, relationship dynamics, stress profiles, and personality differences. Each partner typically takes 35–45 minutes to complete, and it is included in the program cost. Prepare/Enrich is designed to help partners gain insight, improve communication, and build a strong foundation for the future in a guided, cohesive format.

What is the session fee?

Individual and couples therapy sessions are $250 for 45–50 minutes, reflecting the in-depth, specialized support and guidance provided.

What is the fee for Prepare/Enrich?

The 8-session Prepare/Enrich program, including the assessment, is $2,035 total. This all-inclusive package provides a structured, comprehensive path for couples to gain insight, strengthen connection, and create lasting change.

Do you offer sliding scale, reduced fee, or pro bono sessions?

Sliding scale or reduced-fee sessions are very limited and available only for individual therapy clients who would not otherwise be able to access support. Couples therapy and Prepare/Enrich are full-fee to maintain program structure and accessibility.

What is your rescheduling policy?

Once a session is scheduled, it is considered confirmed. You may reschedule to any available time the week before, the same week, or the week after your scheduled session. If rescheduling within this window isn’t possible, you may use a limited number of grace passes per calendar year to cancel without penalty.
